Mercedes-AMG unveiled its newest racing car at The 24 Hours of Spa-Franchorchamps 2017: the Mercedes-AMG GT4.

Production maturity meets proven racing technology
The Mercedes-AMG GT4 is based on the Mercedes-AMG GT R introduced in June 2016, which already delivers exceptional racetrack performance. The highly dynamic characteristics of the road sports car were revisited and thoroughly advanced further. It goes without saying that development activities made good use of the many years of experience gained in the GT3 area. The Mercedes-AMG GT4 takes centre stage primarily to raise the bar in its class when it comes to safety, ergonomics, driveability, performance, and service and user friendliness. The Mercedes-AMG GT4 is powered by the familiar 4.0-litre V8 with direct injection and biturbo setup as used in the road vehicles from Affalterbach. The proven stock technology of the front mid-engine enables particularly long runtimes and offers sufficient performance reserves for the future. Depending on the balance-of-performance rating, an output of up to 375 kW (510 hp) and a maximum torque of over 600 Nm are available.
